Password protected Web directories in Windows
The following article will guide you, how to create the password protected Web Directories for your Domain in Windows. Just put your concentration on the bold word and red color highlighted box.
Log in to your control panel with the provided control panel "username" and "password".
Click on the "Home" icon to show the hosting control menus.
Click on the "Web Directories" icon.
Click on the "Add New Directory" icon.
Put the directory name, which you want to protect, into the "Directory name" box and click on "ok" to create the directory.
Click on that directory, which has been created in "step4" (i.e. example).
Click on the "Protection" icon.
Click on the "Protect" icon.
Click on the "Add New User" icon to create an user for accessing the protected directory.
Put the user name, which you want , in to the "Login" box and the password for twice. Click on "ok" to save the user.
Click on "Log Out" to exit from Plesk Control Panel.
Don't Forget to Logout when you are done.
